The Trees are alive!

well they are looking better anyway...

Just some tidying up of the branches and sky then finish Richard and Voila!!

The Face!

Finally got the face started.. Bit too dark but a good under painting..
Plus the sand, the tree trunk and the point in the distance...

mostly armless..

good progress this week... lots of fish and arms.
Im loving it actually... large rough areas of paint then get the small brush treatment and it starts to feel like it comes together.. Those fish were a real pain!

Bit more of the boat appears. and started the fish!
Just a start with a flat head brush.. let it dry and get into the detail..

More fish in the foregroud to come too..

Fisherman

Well! This is something different!
Ive started the painting and after a bit of roughing in some colour and the palm leaves I concentrated and did the fisherman at the back... quite pleased actually!

I do like to be beside the Seaside

Hacked together the collage of pics for the Pacific Island commission.
Will apparently be used for an autobiography. Will be an A3 size acrylic painting. Ill start this during this coming week.

Wings over Wairarapa II

So for me the Masterton airshow was a great day out. Drove over with Warwick and spent most of the time drooling over the planes and snapping piccys. Met some modelling mates of mine as well. Disappointing there were no model shops but the weather was brilliant. Apparently waaay better than the Wellington side of the Rimutakas.
