morning was fine-ish so did some gardening... good for the soul.. Then down to the Jetty for lunch, deliver Warwick's sold pic to him and then a bit of drawing in the afternoon.

Marching On

March F5000 commission coming along. A very fuzzy reference photo isnt making it easy.
No drawing at warwicks today, dont know where he is actually so had to go solo today.

The exhibition pictures were dropped back today so finally Marcus gets his Solent back. Many thanks mate.

High Tea Sunday

no drawing at warwicks today so did a bit on the Subaru and started the March F5000 commission for Clark Proctor. Going out for High Tea at Kirks this arvo for mother in laws birthday. Hence the title. should be interesting.



also joined a new overseas forum called wetcanvas. seem like a nice bunch and will try and keep some comments going there. Good to see all the overseas hits on the blog!! heh.

We nearly blew it...

A cold day in the Hutt today as the tonal quality of the two images in this posting will attest.

At first glance, it would seem that there has not been a lot of progress with Ka942. This is because I had to rework the front shroud - it was just too multi-coloured - and like the good oil painting that it isn't I layered shades of grey and blue over the top in an effort to correct it. It's better and completion of the rest of the reflective sheeting will draw it together (so to speak):


Brett's Subaru also shows little progress, except that he too had to invent a blue to reflect the prototype's actual colouring:


Rumour has it that Brett has sold a print of the Kittyhawk...

Interesting background but gouache on cartridge paper is not the best combination.
