That was the week that was

A week of little progress. We drew for 90 minutes. We ate (biscuits & cheese). We drank (coffee for Brett, lemonade for me). Brett had been up since the crack of Dawn. We grumbled. We broke early and played with our new website www.kiwimotorart.co.nz.

Brett has completed the Mustang, but not the drawing - some background is called for...

and I had trouble with my mojo today - 'Cyclops' has barely progressed...

Let there be more light

Her will be done. Brett's lovely better half wants him back - giving him up every Sunday morning is limiting their social opportunities. Fair enough. So this week we tried a few hours on Saturday evening (as an experiment - week day evenings are probably more realistic). With a glass of Young's Double Chocolate stout and an excellent Abbot's Choice farmhouse cheddar (from Hawes in Wensleydale - eat your heart out, Wallace), we attempted to draw. It wasn't really a disaster, but we did discover that the lighting over my dining room table is not strong enough (100W) which is affecting our perception of colour.

For today's delectation I offer you more of the same - Cyclops is progressing...

and here's something Brett prepared earlier - an Otago-based RNZAF Mustang P51D

Pretty as a Rainbow - The GTR is Done.

A week off and I could concentrate on the GTR..
It is certainly colourful.. lots of primaries.. or 'pretty' as my wife says...

and thanks for all the fish

Coffee and chocolate marshmallow fish. Strange bedfellows, but we're nothing if not prepared to try something different. So, not distracted by a good beer & fancy cheese, we concentrated on our drawing.

The three-car DM556 'Cyclops' is a step closer to completion:

and Brett's multi-colour dream car is positively luminescent...
